Why Gmail access?

Kelpie requests read-only Gmail access only when you enable Transaction Automation.

It checks new Inbox message metadata, then reads a full message body only when sender, subject, DKIM, and DMARC identify a supported authenticated DBS card or PayNow alert. Kelpie stores an encrypted, normalized text snapshot with the transaction reference masked when present so you can audit the original alert, parser result, and recorded transaction. Attachments, raw MIME content, and Gmail authentication headers are not retained.

Parsed transaction details power the expense record and notification you asked for. You can disconnect Gmail at any time to stop the watch and revoke the stored credential.
